John Reid is the Director of the Project Development Department. Mr. Reid oversees CanAm’s existing portfolio of project investments, currently totaling $1.6 Billion, and manages the sourcing, underwriting and funding of new project investments. Mr. Reid joined CanAm in 2013 with over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry. Mr. Reid began his career at JPI Partners, the largest multifamily developer in the country at the time. Subsequently, Mr. Reid worked for a top New York City based developer where he specialized in site acquisition, design, and development of high-rise residential and mixed-use properties in Manhattan and Los Angeles. Mr. Reid also served as Vice President at a private real estate investment banking firm, where he focused on equity and debt placements, investment sales, and strategic advisory to institutional investors, REITs, and private owners of real estate.

Mr. Reid earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Colorado and a Master of Science from New York University.
